Saying Yes To Jesus!
Have you ever felt like life is hard? While there are many joys and celebrations, life can be difficult, discouraging, and depressing. Relationship struggles, job loss, loneliness, we all experience the hardships of living in a broken world.
The question is, is there more? Is there a better life possible? Jesus says, “I have come that people may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). Full life is possible, and the way to experience it is responding in faith to the gospel.
What is the gospel? It’s the good news that Jesus loves us so much that He was willing give His life for us. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son (Jesus), so that whomsoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” Through Jesus’ death on the cross, and then coming back from the dead, He took all your wrong and gave you all of His right. It’s amazing but true. He forgives all your sin, past, present and future forever! But there’s more, He frees you from following the broken ways of this world…addiction, bitterness, jealousy, lust.
By putting His Holy Spirit inside you, He helps you follow Him and His word which leads you to fulfillment and purpose. So, Jesus gives us a new life of forgiveness, freedom, fulfillment, and fellowship with other Believers. And it’s available for “whomsoever”—and that includes you!
Even if you’ve messed up big time, Jesus loves you.
New life for you starts by believing the gospel and calling out to Jesus in prayer. Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” If you pray that and say that to Jesus with belief in your heart, your life will never be the same. It’s as simple as turning from your way of sin and trusting to follow Jesus. Believing He is who He says He is, Son God, Savior of sinners and Lord of all. Beginning to follow Him is the first step on the greatest journey of your life. You haven’t finished the race—you’ve just gotten started.
